Graduates of the Class of 2026
I delivered the first 2 mandolins of my 2026 build to their owners last weekend. It’s been a longer road than planned, so I felt a particular thrill to see them in the hands of the players who helped me conceive them nearly 9 months ago.
Both instruments were put into action on stage the next day, one at the Wheeler County Bluegrass Festival in Oregon where it was passed around on stage between several performers. The other mandolin found its way to the 4th of July festivities in George, Washington. The owner reports that it is already opening up tone-wise, and that his band mate is trying to talk him into swapping it for their mandolin!
Both instruments seem to have found a good home!
