I’m launching a batch of 5-6 customized archtop mandolins to be completed this winter, 2025. They’ll feature Loar-inspired arching and graduations for that punchy tone that cuts through in a jam.
My preferred process is to build 5-6 instruments as a batch, but to design each one in collaboration with individual customers. Four of this batch are already spoken for, so there are 1-2 spots left.
If you are interested in a very affordable, F-5 or A-5 archtop built with classic appointments, but customized according to your heart’s desires, please let me know.
I have lots of tonewoods instock including birdseye, curly and quilted maple; Texas mesquite, several African hardwoods, figured cherry, etc., but I also love building with wood that has special meaning to the customer with whom I’m co-creating the instrument.
I also enjoy adding custom pearl or wood inlay as desired.
